BTW choosing a band name sucks - we spent over a month picking a new name!
Recently, my band decided it was time to change our name. Although we’ve been chugging along writing new music and even played a couple shows, it has been awhile since we’ve really done anything significant since two of the members quit several years ago. Thus, with the new three-piece lineup (<3 goes to Jake!) it’s time for a re-brand.
Also, to be honest, I was never a fan of the name “HalfTone” anyway… it just never felt “right” for a rock band.
It may seem like a hipster move, but there's a good reason for it.
Well-written, static websites are a beautiful thing… at least, in my mind they are. They’re normally incredibly simple, they load super quick, are easier to cache, and the list of potential vulnerabilities is limited compared to a dynamically generated website. There are no login pages to crack, no admin panels to sneakily get access to and do some damage, there are no caching issues with a page changing practically every time it is loaded with ads or user content - it just is.
Hey guys! My name is Gregory Ballantine. I created the Bit Goblin site to share and document my experiences with technology. Primarily, I’m a Unix system administrator and network engineer, with some working knowledge in Windows SA, programming, website development and cybersecurity. I really enjoy anything that relates to computers!
For a little background on me and my experiences, I’ve been a System Administrator of some sort for close to six years now, and have been using computers frequently for at least 10 years.
